Anvers (Belgium) : cook the ATM

In the night of Sunday to Monday 15th January, in the Frank Craeybeckxlaan, at Deurne (Anvers), persons unknown set fire to a cash point of the BNP Paribas Fortis bank. A pot containing an inflammable liquid, probably petrol, was set on fire near the screen and the keyboard.

Some people who noticed the fire tried to put it out with a small powder extinguisher and called the fire brigade. “The damage was limited to an automatic cashpoint which was completely destroyed. The police suspect arson and investigatons were opened. The forensics laboratory visited the site” , declared Wouter Bruyns, spokesman for the police of Anvers.

Last year at the beginning of September a similar incident occurred at Borgerhout, another district of Anvers, with limited damage.

Greece: Responsibility Claim for the Attack on the Offices of the Israeli Shipping Company ZIM

“And now their are masses of people who are rising and breaking their shackles and chains. Eternal memory to you, oh brother, in the honorable struggle you have fallen.”

Armed with these verses, which come from our own 1940-49 era here in Greece and guided by the unity of the revolutionary achievements that are currently taking place in Palestine, we carried out an arson attack on the offices of the Israeli shipping company ZIM at dawn on Wednesday 17/01.

The Israeli company ZIM, since its establishment in 1945, has been actively involved in supplying the murderous Israeli army with military equipment for the Palestinian front. A process which continues even today, unhindered and frequently from the port of Piraeus. ZIM is one of the heavyweights of Zionist capital as it ranks among the ten most powerful shipping companies in Israel. Also, its targeting by the revolutionary Houthi guerrilla movement of the Yemeni people has exposed its active role in the genocide of the Gaza Strip.

A little over a hundred days. Days that are obscured by the sounds of artillery and buildings being demolished in an instant. Nights haunted by the explosions of aerial bombardment. Periods of time where minute by minute, street by street, house by house another magnificent chapter of the Palestinian resistance is written. Another magnificent chapter in the history of the Peoples’ Resistance against their occupiers, against their timeless oppressors.

On October 7, 2023, the combined action of the armed resistance organizations of the struggling Palestinian people achieved an unthinkable blow against one of the most powerful militaries in the world, the Israeli occupation forces. An occupation that has already counted seventy-five years of violence, persecution, arrests and imprisonment without trials, torture, executions, killings, murders of civilians and the continuous expansion of Israel into Palestinian territory in violation of all treaties. Aggressive expansion, with constant escalations, which has led millions of Palestinians to be uprooted or to live crammed into strips and patches of land under inhumane, suffocating conditions of military enforcement, surveillance, control, deprivation of basic human rights, basic goods and health care, on a thin line between life and death.

In this suffocating context, the Palestinian people manage to organize themselves, overcoming immense difficulties and attacking the occupier who tries to break their resistance. The Palestinian Resistance organizations continue operations and achieve daily blows against the Zionist occupation forces. Even at this very moment, when the Israeli army has penetrated deep into the Gaza Strip, as it is attacking the West Bank and striking mercilessly and indiscriminately, slaughtering tens of thousands of Palestinians. For all its overwhelming show of force, the Zionist state of Israel is failing to achieve its key objectives, with international and domestic pressure to end the war and find a diplomatic solution mounting and political time running out for a viable way out for the far-right Netanyahu government.

In the context of these conditions, the Greek state, as an integral part of the imperialist mechanisms of NATO, as a proud distant outpost of the USA, declares its support for the Zionist aggressors and the massacre of the Palestinian people, diplomatically and also practically by facilitating the Israeli war machine through the provision of an uninterrupted supply of military equipment and also with military personnel as part of the NATO support forces off the coast of Palestine. This is also made possible through the great growth and profitability of Israeli capital with investments of tens of millions in the real estate sector, and the tourism and transport industries.

Rome, Italy: Wild demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian population

Wild demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian population (Rome, Jan. 27, 2023)

Demonstrations in solidarity with the Palestinian population and against the genocide in Gaza were to be held in various cities on Saturday, January 27. The one planned in Rome, with a concentration in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, like many others was not held as it was banned.

Despite this, we learn from the media that in the evening anarchist comrades took to the streets. A spontaneous, unannounced demonstration was held in the streets of the Torpignattara neighborhood. Starting from Piazza Malatesta, dozens of demonstrators moved to the area near Via della Marranella, then crossed Via Casilina, continuing into the next blocks of the neighborhood. A number of anti-war murals and in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance were left along the route. In particular, the windows of a BNL branch and a McDonald’s were covered with writing.

Some police and DIGOS patrol cars arrived after some time. On at least one occasion, following the arrival of an armored riot control van, the repressive forces were subjected to substantial throwing of firecrackers and bottles, so – given the difficulty in making a charge immediately – they had to distance themselves. Two protesters were subsequently detained by police, taken to police headquarters and released after a few hours with charges.

Internationalist and revolutionary solidarity with the Palestinian people and the oppressed around the world!

Fire at offices of conservative organizations in Golden Valley, MN

Fires at the Golden Valley offices of several conservative organizations are being investigated as arson, according to the ATF.

“The fires obviously were set by someone,” said John Hinderaker, president of Center of the American Experiment, in a Friday statement. “They targeted conservative organizations, they didn’t firebomb the chiropractors or psychologists or the Manufacturers Alliance. We are cooperating with the FBI to try to identify the perpetrators.”

Gov. Tim Walz wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday: “Political violence and intimidation have no place in Minnesota. I’m confident that local, state, and federal law enforcement will get to the bottom of this unacceptable act.”

The fires happened about 2 a.m. Sunday outside the first floor offices of American Experiment and TakeCharge, and in the third-floor offices of the Upper Midwest Law Center, according to an American Experiment press release.

There was no visible fire damage to the second floor of the three-story building, which houses a variety of small businesses.

In a statement, Minnesota Republican Party Chairman David Hann condemned the suspected arson.

“The apparent targeting of these conservative organizations marks a chilling moment for free speech and civil discourse in our state,” Hann said.

Hann also took aim at a DFL state representative who posted on X a meme from the “Office” television sitcom of character Dwight Schrute with the words, “Ryan started the fire!,” referring to another “Office” character.

Hann said the lawmaker mocked the “seriousness and trauma” of the fire.

Rep. Andy Smith, DFL-Rochester, deleted his X account after facing criticism for the post from others online. A spokesman said Friday he was not available for an interview.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is investigating with the FBI, Minnesota State Fire Marshal, Golden Valley fire, Hennepin County fire investigative team and Hennepin County sheriff, a local ATF spokesperson said Friday. Because it’s an ongoing investigation, she said they are limited in providing details.

Philippines: Anti-Authoritarian Camp, Feb. 10-11

An Anti-Authoritarian camp this coming February 10-11, 2024 in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

This is to celebrate the 20 years relationship of the sister collective Food Not Bombs Baliuag and Food Not Bombs Sapangpalay.

As we grow forward, most of the FNB volunteers already made their own family, so it was important to us to recognise our family in our journey on the struggle for autonomy. We appreciate the necessity to fight for liberation for our loved-ones to be free from the chain of commodified/capitalist belief systems that destroy our values and human relation. Every time we can appropriate and self-manage whatever aspect of the social/economic life and purposely create a moment, a space, a platform, an experience for everyone. A chance to have access for more fruitful socialization without domination, hierarchy and control.

Intentionally, the Anti-Authoritarian Camp main participants are families and communities of these two collectives ( FNB Baliuag & FNB Sapangpalay) but will also be open to other Anti-Authoritarian individuals.
We are hoping for this camp to be informative, fun and intimate.

Suggested activities:
* Sharing of Basic Values
* Intimate talks with each other
* Parenting and its challenges
* Workshop/Practical tips about food technology
* Film showing
* Introduction to cooperative/co-op
* Discussion on Support System
And more…..

We accept financial donations to subsidize our cost for this event. Thank you.

Berlin, Germany: Claim of Responsibility for the Incendiary Attack Against a Greek Diplomatic Vehicle

On January 30, we placed an incendiary device under a car with the number plate of Greece’s diplomatic mission in Germany. The action took place in the Rosenthaler district in Berlin.

The action is not directed against a specific person but against the relations between two racist and murderous states and those responsible for them. The burning diplomatic car is once again a vehicle for international messages between the oppressed and at the same time a message to those who want to rule the world…

..that we have not forgotten the hundreds of murders committed last June off the coast of Pylos at the hands of the Greek coastguard and Frontex.

…that we have not forgotten the racist, murderous acts of violence by the police against Roma youth in Greece.

…that we do not remain inactive in the face of the persecution of anarchists and individuals fighting against oppression and exploitation.

In 2024, at a time when indifference in the face of daily mass murders is far advanced, we anarchists continue to reach out to migrants. We want to remind them once again that mass migration has its origins in the system and that those who try to control it are the same ones who live off our labour and resources. The thousands of murders at the borders are murders of our brothers and sisters. The victims of the coming pogroms and assassinations in this increasingly openly racist European Union live among us and stand side by side with us.

In memory of Oury Jalloh, who was tied up and set on fire alive with broken bones in a police cell on January 7, 19 years ago.

Signed: Anarchists

PS: For the immediate release of Nikos Maziotis and solidarity with Pola Roupa!

Chicago action in solidarity with Appalachians Against Pipelines

A bicycle u-lock is locked to the front doors of a Bank of America branch. It is covered in white tape with various slogans written on it: No MVP! Stop Cop city! Viva Tort! Doom 2 the Pipeline! Stop!

Bank of America branch locked in response to BOA funding: Mountain Valley Pipeline, Cop City linked to Tortuguita’s murder, and the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

The front doors of a Bank of America branch are locked together with a bicycle u-lock, with some flyers wheat-pasted to the front doors.

Chicago, Illinois — A Bank of America branch was locked and windows wheatepasted with flyers containing links to the bank’s abhorrent acts of cruelty. People are calling on BOA to drop its funding of the Mountain Valley Pipeline, a 303-mile pipeline described as “a scar across Appalachia.” The MVP will supply fuel to the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. RAAP is operated by BAE systems, which supplies the Israeli government with weapons used to murder Palestinians. BOA also funds Cop City, the 85-acre militarized police training compound that the Atlanta Police Foundation is attempting to build in Atlanta, GA. Construction for Cop City desecrates and bulldozes the Weelaunee Forest, the largest urban forest in the United States, dubbed one of the lungs of Atlanta.

Flyers wheat-pasted to a Bank of America branch window reading "Block Every Path! Doom to the Pipeline! @appalachiansagainstpipelines" and "Shut Elbit Down! Free Palestine! Bank of America's Funding Israel". Each has a QR code

“While I do not live in Appalachia, as a descendant of Appalachian migrants, the destruction of mountains, communities and ecosystems in Appalachia for the purpose of supplying fuel to an ammunition plant that supplies the Israeli Occupation Forces with weapons used to kill the indigenous people of Palestine enrages and disgusts me. The struggles of ordinary people across the world are interconnected, and Bank of America funds so many causes of environmental destruction and human suffering and death.” an anonymous Midwesterner said.

This action was taken in solidarity with Appalachian’s Against Pipelines, a direct action campaign of pipeline fighters opposing MVP construction on the ground. Block every path! No pipelines through Appalachia, or anywhere! Solidarity forever! Stop Cop City and Free Palestine!
