Berlin (Germany): drilling machines set ablaze in solidarity

[In Canada, a struggle has been underway for several years on Wet’suwet’en territory against the Coastal GasLink pipeline project, being punctuated by numerous sabotages, occupations and incendiary attacks. During a raid in Calgary on the site of the company responsible for drilling under the Wedzin Kwa River, anarchists were able to make public in June 2022 the names of the two German manufacturers of the huge drilling machines used on site (Herrenkencht and Bauer). On August 3, 2022, Bauer construction machinery, including an expensive drilling rig, went up in smoke in the Bavarian region. And on the night of Sunday May 5 to Monday May 6, two more Bauer drilling machines were set alight on a construction site in the Wedding district of Berlin, in solidarity with the struggles of the Wet’suwet’en people, and more broadly against extractivist projects. Below is a translation from the German of the communique published the same day on indymedia.de]

Attack on Bauer drills and extractivist infrastructures! Solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en anti-colonial struggle!

Around the world, countless indigenous communities are fighting extractivist projects and infrastructures, such as mining projects, hydraulic fracking, deforestation and pipelines. In the territory occupied by the Canadian state, for example, a huge project is currently under construction: the Coastal GasLink Pipeline, designed to transport gas extracted by hydraulic fracking. This project not only destroys entire regions, but also threatens the Wet’suwet’en indigenous way of life. The pipeline is to be built on their territory, crossing the Wedzin Kwa River, which is essential to their way of life as a source of water and fish. That’s why the Wet’suwet’en have long opposed this project with fierce resistance, defending their land. Their resistance is met with strong repression, but also benefits from great solidarity.

We want to show that the fight against colonization, and therefore against industrialization and destructive extractivism, knows no borders. That’s why we have attacked a company that participates and enriches itself directly on the destruction of indigenous territories: the Bauer company supplies the drilling rigs needed for the Coastal GasLink pipeline. On May 6, we set fire to two of their huge drilling machines at a construction site in Berlin. To do this, we placed incendiary devices, accelerant and a tire on their cables.

The Coastal-Gaslink pipeline is just one of many extractivist projects on stolen indigenous lands in Canada and around the world. Whether it’s oil, gas, coal, gold, lithium or hydroelectricity and wind power (now expected to produce “green” hydrogen in Canada, of great interest to Germany), all these industrial projects are part of a colonial system that destroys the land and eliminates indigenous ways of life.

We stand in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en struggles against the colonial Coastal-Gaslink pipeline project.

Whether in Canada, Chile, Peru, the Hambach forest or northern Portugal, let’s fight destructive extractivist projects and connect our struggles!

Switch off the system of destruction and colonisation!

6 Flock Cameras Destroyed in Savannah

We celebrated the 4th of July disabling Flock cameras in the hood where we live. On multiple occasion, neighbors watched without comment (or 911 call) as we climbed on each others’ shoulders and smashed the cameras with hammers and bricks, cut their brackets with tin snips, or wrenched them off their poles with our bare hands.

Savannah PD is installing AI powered License Plate Readers to protect extractive industry, map our movements, and enforce gentrification. The manufacturer Flock claims LPRs solve 10 percent of crimes these days. It’s hard enough to afford housing in Savannah; imagine being unable to access bail, then being forced to accept a plea deal… and oop that 10% statistic begins to look real predatory.

Six in total have gone down, which is one more than the bold actors in Atlanta reported in April 😉 Can other cities add to the total? Solidarity means attack!

TREES SPIKED AND MACHINES DESTROYED AT PIPELINE WORKSITES

Over the weekend, two simultaneous attacks occurred at construction sites for a major refined petroleum pipeline running through the forested hills of Portland OR. Work is ongoing to upgrade the pipeline, which is run by Kinder Morgan and carries diesel and gasoline between Portland and Eugene. The pipeline is an essential supply line for gas stations in the area and part of a bigger network that runs up the West coast.

Two sites were sabotaged in forest park. At one site, a large excavator and other pieces of equipment were made un usable. Wires and tubing were cut and tools left on the worksite were used to cause more damage. A bird trapped in anti erosion netting was cut free. At the other site, dozens of trees have already been cut down above the pipe. The remaining trees set to be removed were spiked with various kinds of nails and bolts. A piece of equipment was destroyed there as well. All equipment belonged to Michels, a major company that builds pipelines including the Keystone XL.

The arteries of industry are all over. With a bit of imagination and effort, anyone can attack them. Leviathan is always vulnerable. Strike now.

Castanet-Tolosan (Haute-Garonne), France : Oops we did it again !

In the night of 7 to 8th June, we burned two trucks inside the company premises of Jean Lefebvre, subsidiary of Vinci, at Castanet-tolosan.

The world military market, Eurosatory, is opening in ten days’ time in Paris while the massacres in Palestine continue and Macron drowns again and again in his speeches of total rearmament. The present war economy is condemning us to ever more violent austerity. In France, the interior and exterior war is based on territorial conquest whose infrastructures, military or civilian, of control and circulation, are destroying our living spaces.

BTP/TP and Vinci as one of the largest French companies, are profiting greatly from this permanent war, both in the grid of the cities, motorways, bitumining the countryside, as in future reconstruction projects, eyeing international markets where colonial devastation is taking place.

We want to participate in what is attempting to undermine this economic logic. And we also see in the Olympic Games an issue to counter them and struggle against everything we’ll get thrown at us afterwards. Because as following all the OG, beyond the State spectacle in these arenas that destroy everything in order to make them exist, austerity plans will follow. In 2004 in Greece the Olympic Games foreshadowed the austerity measures of 2008, and poverty, the scrapping of social assistance await us even more violently today after those of Paris. Faced with the ultra-determined neoliberal front, there are many attempts, various responses, actions and wild irruptions that continue in spite of the ongoingt repression and intimidation.

With or without flames, before, during and after the OG, let’s contribute to destroying the State that only serves the military-industrial interests of shit. We greet all those who are attempting to slow down the crushing of all resistence and all joy.

Whenever, wherever, les Poules Mouillées.

Security Van Tires Slashed

“Are people within prisons/jail/detention the only ones who are expected to engage in material disruption? To take risks? Are we just vessels of emotional solidarity?”

“Where are the vulnerabilities to prison management’s morale and how does one remove the will of guards to endure?”

Security guards protect property. They help the police put people in prisons, they are part of the prison industrial complex. As people attack property private security acts as the auxiliary of the prison and police state. With this in mind as well as reading about the conditions at SCI Rockview we slashed the tires of a Securitas van. This was a small, easy, and replicate-able action that you can do with a friend. We agree with the comrade at SCI Rockview that “an assault on both fronts” is necessary, targets are everywhere. In the amerikkkan hellscape our lives are deeply embedded in the infrastructure of confinement. This is why we chose to attack the security van. Small actions like these can build capacity to be able to break down the prison walls.

Destroy PA-DOC
Fuck security guards
Fire to the prisons

Wells Fargo branch Attacked for A15 Disruption, in Solidarity with Palestinian Resistance and StopCopCity – Minneapolis, WI

We have not forgotten the glory of October 7, the dawn of Tufan Al-Aqsa.

Half a year on, the Palestinian Resistance and its allies continue to fight a world-historic guerrilla war against not only the zionist settler-invader hordes but also the very order of Western imperialism. Now, in a long overdue but welcome development, a segment of the global ‘solidarity movement’ has finally recognized that only escalatory direct action, to disrupt the capitalist economy as a whole, will seriously impede the euro/amerikan ‘Axis of Genocide.’

In response to the A15 call for economic disruption, Anti-Colonial Action Brigade (ACAB) attacked a Wells Fargo branch in so-called ‘minneapolis’ (occupied Dakota lands) early morning Monday April 15.

We spraypainted “INTIFADA,” “FUCK 12,” “STOP COP CITY,” “DESTROY ZIONISM,” “Al-AQSA FLOOD,” “DEATH TO ‘israel,'” “DEATH TO amerika,” “AVENGE THE MARTYRS,” “FREE PALESTINE,” “FUCK COP CITY,” and smashed out six windows including the glass door.

Wells Fargo funds the genocide & colonization of Palestine through a $500 million loan to Elbit Systems, the zionist entity’s top drone manufacturer. In addition, a Wells Fargo executive sits on the board of the Atlanta Police Foundation, the parasites behind Cop City. We act in total solidarity with the movements resisting the carceral-colonial pig power structure in its various manifestations—whether a cop city in the Weelaunee Forest, or a euro-settler regime in Palestine.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been martyred by the genocidal occupying entity, and yet as a people they remain steadfast on their land and certain that liberation nears. Their Resistance has not wavered, making the settler pig army pay in blood for every single massacre, staging ingenious ambushes daily, avenging their families murdered by the cowardly colonizers.

Will we learn from the Palestinian struggle—their martyrs, their prisoners, their warriors—and honor them through action right here on these occupied lands? amerika is the head of the snake. We understand the zionist entity is nothing but the 51st state of the settler empire. Let’s act accordingly.

We encourage all who seek an end to this genocide to consider what it means to make solidarity a threat again. It’s not enough to be ‘anti-war.’ Looking beyond the First World we can most clearly see the spirit and practice of true internationalism in the Axis of Resistance, as militants from Lebanon to Yemen, Iraq to Iran offer martyrs in the struggle against imperialist settlerism.

Are we prepared to make sacrifices too? The first step requires us to be honest about the nature of the confrontation: we are not ‘anti-war,’ because fundamentally we are at war with amerika in its entirety. From the lowliest soft-zionist demokkkrat politician to the counter-insurgent non-profiteers to the child-murdering mercenary generals in d.c., they all uphold the same system. The targets are everywhere. The oppressed masses of the world are not waiting, but maybe we can join them on the road to liberation, the road to Al-Quds.

Mni Sota Makoce to Al-Aqsa, Death to the Forces of Imperialism.

Glory to the Martyrs.

Victory to the Resistance.

—Anti-Colonial Action Brigade

Machines burned at highway construction site in NW Portland

On Tuesday morning I burned three large machines at an Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) construction site in Portland. They were destroying the forest hillside on the south side of the st. johns bridge to protect highway infrastructure.

ODOT construction sites, and highway construction in general, often leave expensive (and highly flammable!) specialized equipment unattended and unsecured overnight, making them easy targets. ODOT is planning major highway expansion in the Portland area over the next few years, despite long campaigns by Youth vs ODOT and other environmentalist groups. Acting through the political system is a futile and insufficient response to the current crisis, as capitalism must continue its endless growth no matter how bad things get. The highway system can only expand if we allow it to. With some creativity, courage, and determination, capital is far more vulnerable than it would have you believe.

I used plastic 1 gallon milk jugs filled with gasoline. A flare attached to the side of the container (so that it sticks out past it) makes for a convenient delay, burning down for 5-10 minutes before the flame reaches the plastic and ignites the gasoline, leaving plenty of time to get away before the fire starts. You can steal flares from most large hardware stores and car supply stores. I placed each milk jug underneath the engines of the machinery, where the heat would rise to the most flammable and critical components.

It was easy, fun, and I think I’ll do it again. You should too!

XOXOXO

HPG: 41 Turkish Soldiers Killed

According to the press center of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG), the guerrillas attacked three military bases of the Turkish army in South Kurdistan on 19 March.

According to the information, 41 Turkish soldiers were killed during the operation and various weapons and military accessories were destroyed or confiscated.

The guerrilla fighters Ekin and Canşêr fell as martyrs. The operation took place in the Girê Amêdî resistance area in the western Zap region and was named after fallen fighters Ciwan and Andok, who died in a guerrilla operation in the same area last November. The HPG consider the operation a great success.

Regarding the course of the operation, the HPG reported that special tactics and technology were used and that the guerrillas attacked Turkish military camps in the areas of Şehîd Cemre, Şehîd Cesur and Şehîd Pirdoğan with several attack units at the same time. A rocket launcher confiscated from the guerrillas while storming an enemy position was fired at a Turkish army tank. When the army positioned several armored vehicles to defend itself, they were forced to retreat by targeted fire.

A total of 41 soldiers were killed, and eleven soldiers were wounded. The guerrillas seized a B7 rocket launcher, a BKC semi-automatic weapon including ammunition, binoculars, a laser pointer, two thermal batteries with adapters, two cameras and other military accessories.

Several weapons, including an MPT-55, as well as seven cameras, 12 surveillance cameras, eight projectors, seven emplacements, three containers, two tents and a radar were destroyed in the operation, the HPG said.

More detailed information about the identity of martyrs Ekin and Canşêr will be published at a later date.

Bremen: Switch Off Tren Maya / disrupt Deutsche Bahn

We got together last night to set fire to two Deutsche Bahn [DB] vehicles with incendiary devices. This company is not only synonymous with expensive rail links and crumbling infrastructure, but is also deeply involved in the arms industry, exploitation and neo-colonialism. In concrete terms, we attacked the DB to make visible the struggles against the Tren Maya in Mexico.

We light rebel fires for the indigenous populations of Chiapas, Comunidad Indígena Otomí, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana. We say: “Compañer@s! you are not alone, your resistance is with us!”

As part of the huge Tren Maya infrastructure project, two railroad lines have been built through the Mexican jungle, with the main aim of bringing mass tourism to the indigenous provinces. Deutsche Bahn, which also strives to present itself as green and sustainable, is part of the project, making money by destroying the Mexican forest – in cooperation with arms companies, the Mexican army and the USA.

In addition to mass tourism, the Tren Maya is also used for counter-insurgency and migration control. The Mexican army is responsible for administering and defending sections of the line. Military bases are set up along the railway line. The military presence is directed against indigenous resistance and used in the state’s control of people fleeing Central and South America and the Caribbean. For the region is one of the world’s largest migration corridors. Not surprisingly, the project was preceded by friendly discussions between Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and then-US President Donald Trump. The Tren Maya also serves the geopolitical interests of the United States and its border policy.

Sold as a progressive infrastructure project, the Tren Maya is being imposed by force against all resistance from the people directly affected. Intact ecosystems and self-managed, mostly indigenous communities are to be replaced by tourism, resorts, factories, animal fattening farms and monocultures. Ongoing expropriations and evictions are tantamount to the commodification of living things and the long-term militarization of territories. We don’t care about your green progress and profit-driven world. The Tren Maya and consequently the conditions of domination must be destroyed.

We’re making a radical start to the New Year ourselves, and looking forward to many warm nights ahead.

Autonomous groups

We regret that the two fires consumed uninvolved vehicles. We had calculated many things, but underestimated the wind that night.

New Sabotage Against Northvolt – No Capitalist is Safe (Canada)

This week marked the return of migratory birds to the Montérégie region and the start of nesting season for several species. The Northvolt worksite is now racing against the clock to fill in as many wetlands as possible by March 10, before being prevented from doing so by federal regulations protecting migratory birds. While deforestation work has been completed on the Saint-Basile-le-Grand side (8700 trees cut down), similar work is now underway in the eastern part of the land owned by McMasterville. This section contains the last remaining intact woodland, perhaps preserved from felling by the repeated spiking that took place there.

To stop the destruction of natural habitats, activists have targeted the Michaudville group’s Mont-St-Hilaire quarry, which to date has been responsible for filling in over ten hectares of marshland essential to the survival of vulnerable species such as the least bittern, the spiny softshell turtle and the eastern red bat. As a result of land artificialisation and urban sprawl, only 5% of wetlands remain in the watershed today. Not only will this industrial project do nothing to decarbonize our economy (as our ministers claim), it will also be carried out at the expense of local biodiversity. Let’s not forget that the ecological crisis is not just a climate crisis, but also an equally threatening biodiversity crisis. It’s thanks to our relationships with other species that we live, eat and breathe. We are entirely dependent on these ecosystems.

At the beginning of the week, around a hundred studded devices were spread along the road leading to the quarry to target the trucks transporting the earth and gravel used for backfilling. Over the past few weeks, more than a hundred return trips have been made daily, with a truck passing every 3 minutes. Any action that disrupts traffic and obstructs the only access road to the quarry will cause financial losses and affect the profitability of the project. Every hour of work lost is a victory for Northvolt’s opponents.

The Northvolt project will never be green. With the battery industry, the CAQ government is taking advantage of climate change to do business. While the government is currently injecting billions of dollars to save the automotive industry, these investments force us to ensure, for decades to come, the growth of an economic sector just as destructive as the fossil fuel economy. The massive electrification of transport and the car-centric model require the multiplication of mines in the Global South and on First Nations territory. Everywhere, farmland, waterways and the populations that depend on them will be poisoned by toxic waste. Entire forests will be laid waste, mountains torn open. The ecological crisis is insoluble under capitalism: our only way out is through mutual aid, the creation of resilient communities and degrowth.

To the companies that work with Northvolt: no one is safe!
