Wells Fargo branch Attacked for A15 Disruption, in Solidarity with Palestinian Resistance and StopCopCity – Minneapolis, WI

We have not forgotten the glory of October 7, the dawn of Tufan Al-Aqsa.

Half a year on, the Palestinian Resistance and its allies continue to fight a world-historic guerrilla war against not only the zionist settler-invader hordes but also the very order of Western imperialism. Now, in a long overdue but welcome development, a segment of the global ‘solidarity movement’ has finally recognized that only escalatory direct action, to disrupt the capitalist economy as a whole, will seriously impede the euro/amerikan ‘Axis of Genocide.’

In response to the A15 call for economic disruption, Anti-Colonial Action Brigade (ACAB) attacked a Wells Fargo branch in so-called ‘minneapolis’ (occupied Dakota lands) early morning Monday April 15.

We spraypainted “INTIFADA,” “FUCK 12,” “STOP COP CITY,” “DESTROY ZIONISM,” “Al-AQSA FLOOD,” “DEATH TO ‘israel,'” “DEATH TO amerika,” “AVENGE THE MARTYRS,” “FREE PALESTINE,” “FUCK COP CITY,” and smashed out six windows including the glass door.

Wells Fargo funds the genocide & colonization of Palestine through a $500 million loan to Elbit Systems, the zionist entity’s top drone manufacturer. In addition, a Wells Fargo executive sits on the board of the Atlanta Police Foundation, the parasites behind Cop City. We act in total solidarity with the movements resisting the carceral-colonial pig power structure in its various manifestations—whether a cop city in the Weelaunee Forest, or a euro-settler regime in Palestine.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been martyred by the genocidal occupying entity, and yet as a people they remain steadfast on their land and certain that liberation nears. Their Resistance has not wavered, making the settler pig army pay in blood for every single massacre, staging ingenious ambushes daily, avenging their families murdered by the cowardly colonizers.

Will we learn from the Palestinian struggle—their martyrs, their prisoners, their warriors—and honor them through action right here on these occupied lands? amerika is the head of the snake. We understand the zionist entity is nothing but the 51st state of the settler empire. Let’s act accordingly.

We encourage all who seek an end to this genocide to consider what it means to make solidarity a threat again. It’s not enough to be ‘anti-war.’ Looking beyond the First World we can most clearly see the spirit and practice of true internationalism in the Axis of Resistance, as militants from Lebanon to Yemen, Iraq to Iran offer martyrs in the struggle against imperialist settlerism.

Are we prepared to make sacrifices too? The first step requires us to be honest about the nature of the confrontation: we are not ‘anti-war,’ because fundamentally we are at war with amerika in its entirety. From the lowliest soft-zionist demokkkrat politician to the counter-insurgent non-profiteers to the child-murdering mercenary generals in d.c., they all uphold the same system. The targets are everywhere. The oppressed masses of the world are not waiting, but maybe we can join them on the road to liberation, the road to Al-Quds.

Mni Sota Makoce to Al-Aqsa, Death to the Forces of Imperialism.

Glory to the Martyrs.

Victory to the Resistance.

—Anti-Colonial Action Brigade

A MONTH OF CELEBRATION AND REMEMBERANCE IN ROJAVA.

“The last weeks I have danced countless hours, intercepted by too little sleep and many hours sitting together with comrades, remembering those who have fallen on the way here.

March is a month of celebrations in Kurdistan, and Rojava. We celebrate the 8th of March as a day to dance to the victories working and socialist women have gained across the world. Remembering the long and rich tradition we are part of- here, that we gathered for a picnic, with live music and dancing. In between we shared stories of resistance, silly anecdotes of the early days of the revolution and many hugs.

Although I have only been here a few weeks, I was welcomed by many as if they’d known me forever. “Our goodbyes are always so heavy”- I was told in Bakur (North Kurdistan, Eastern Turkey) and it shines through every interaction here, too. March is not only a month of celebration of victories and new beginnings, it is also a month where many anniversaries of internationalist sehids (martyrs) take place. For me, Anna Campbell, Lorenzo Orsetti and Alina Sanchez are all people who inspired me to travel here. Anna was killed by the fascist Turkish state in the Afrin Occupation March, 2018, Lorenzo was killed in one of the last battles against ISIS in Deir ez-Zor in March 2019 and Alina died in a car crash in 2018. With them hundreds of Kurdish friends died.

Tomorrow, we will get together to remember them, the day of the internationalist martyrs. There will be music, dances, speeches and theater performances. Many here, spent time with these friends and other martyrs and can tell funny, sad and heartwarming stories of their times here.

With this depth in mind, we also celebrated the Kurdish New Year- Newroz- some days ago on the 21st. As with every celebration, we started it with a minute of silence for our martyrs. Newroz has a long history of resistance in Kurdish culture, formerly a prohibited celebration in many parts of Kurdistan, people came together in secret to celebrate. And this is still a reality in the occupied parts of Kurdistan. Last year a family of four was murdered in Afrin by Turkish backed jihadists. Knowing what we fight against, and more importantly what we are fighting for, makes every step we take together all the more meaningful. “

6 killed in YPJ raid on a Turkish base near Manbij

On March 3, 2024, the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) raided a Turkish occupation army base on Al-Syada front in the village of Sheikh Nasser northwest of Manbij city. They inflicted painful blows to the Turkish occupation.

“Our fighters skillfully and professionally targeted the occupiers’ base. Initially, they attacked enemy positions with medium weapons, then engaged with individual weapons at a distance of 20 meters. As a result, our fighters managed to enter the depot, destroyed several weapons, and seized some of them,” said a statement released by YPJ Media Center on Wednesday.

“As a result of this effective operation, our fighters managed to eliminate 6 mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupying state. They completely destroyed the occupation army base, including a 12.5-meter tank. Additionally, 2 Kalashnikov rifles, a Browning machine gun, a wireless device, a phone, and Turkish mercenary IDs were seized.”

The statement continued: “After successfully executing the operation, our fighters withdrew safely to their positions. Since our fighters completely destroyed the Turkish occupation base, it was set on fire and burned, resulting in a large explosion inside, but its consequences are unknown.”

The statement concluded: “As Women’s Protection Units, this operation came as a tribute to the memory of the female comrades who were martyred by the Turkish occupation state. We are a retaliatory force determined to triumph in our journey. No attack on female leaders, homeland, or the achievements of the women’s revolution in Rojava will pass without a response.”

West Papua Rebels Release Video of Kidnapped Former Jetstar Pilot

Rebels in Indonesia’s West Papua region have released a video of New Zealand pilot, Phillip Mehrtens, in which he tells his family he loves them and is being treated well by his captors.

Mehrtens, a former Jetstar pilot, was taken hostage by the West Papua National Liberation Army a year ago as a bargaining chip for its push for independence from Indonesia. The video was filmed on 22 December – prior to the army announcing last week  Mehrtens would soon be freed, but not confirming when.

“I’m OK, they are treating me well, I’m trying to stay positive,” Mehrtens said in the video message directed to his family. He added that the “Komadan” – which is Bahasa for commander – who took the video said he can try calling his family next time the commander visits him.

“I love you both lots and miss you both lots and hope to be able to talk with you soon.”

In a second video that was also released, Mehrtens said the Komadan was able to help order “a couple of things for me”, requesting two ventolin inhalers and an ebook reader with “as many English books as possible”.

“That would be very much appreciated,” he said in the video. It’s unclear who the second video was directed at.

On 7 February, a year to the day since Mehrtens was kidnapped after he landed a small commercial passenger plane at Paro airport in Nduga (epicenter of the growing Papuan insurgency), the army announced Mehrtens would be freed “to protect humanity and ensure human rights”.

In a statement announcing the release, the chief of general staff of the West Papua National Liberation Army, Terianus Satto, criticised the Indonesian and New Zealand governments for not meeting the terms for peace negotiations to begin between Indonesia and West Papua in exchange for Mehrtens’ release.

In May last year, the army threatened to shoot Mehrtens if the Indonesian government did not meet its demands to begin independence talks.

Mehrtens’ kidnapping has renewed attention on the long-running and deadly conflict that has raged in West Papua, which makes up the western half of Papua New Guinea, since Indonesia took control of the former Dutch colony in 1969.

The Free West Papua Movement, of which the West Papua National Liberation Army is the armed wing and regularly engages in skirmishes with Indonesian security forces, has continued to demand a fair vote on self-determination.

Peaceful acts of civil disobedience by Indigenous West Papuans, such as raising the banned “Morning Star” flag, are met with police and military brutality and long jail sentences.

In 2022, UN human rights experts called for urgent and unrestricted humanitarian access to the region because of serious concerns about “shocking abuses against Indigenous Papuans, including child killings, disappearances, torture and mass displacement of people”.

On the same day the army announced Mehrtens would be released, New Zealand’s minister for foreign affairs, Winston Peters, released a statement appealing for Mehrtens to be freed immediately, adding the government had been working with the Indonesian authorities to secure his release.

“Let me be absolutely clear. There can never be any justification for hostage taking,” Peters said.

Revolutionary Guerrilla Operation in Zap: A Hill Cleared of the Turkish Occupiers

HPG Press Center reported that a hill where the occupying Turkish forces were positioned in the Zap region was conquered and completely cleared of the occupiers.

The HPG Press Liaison Center (HPG-BIM) said in a written statement on Saturday that guerrillas carried out the ‘Martyr Doğa Viyan Revolutionary Operation’ in the Zap region of the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

“Today at around 13:00, the Martyr Doğa Viyan Revolutionary Operation was carried out in Girê Cûdî Resistance Area of Zap. The hill where the enemy forces were positioned was conquered and completely cleared of the invaders. Many weapons belonging to the invaders were confiscated, while their tents and containers were set on fire and burned.”

HPG-BIM added that detailed information about the operation will be shared with the public later.

The revolutionary operation was named after Doğa Viyan, a guerrilla fighter in the ranks of YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) who fell a martyr during an engagement with the enemy forces in the Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region on 12 October 2023.

Doğa Viyan joined the guerrilla ranks in the mountains of Kurdistan in 2015. After receiving her first training in Avaşîn, she moved to the Govendê region. In order to specialize in guerrilla life and reach a professional level, she joined the heavy weaponry unit. Until 2019, she stayed in the battle zones, took part in actions and became quite competent. She traveled all over Avaşîn step by step and learned great lessons from her comrades who were martyred next to her, and from the teachings of war practice. In 2019, she moved to the Zap region.

Reports of New Armed Attack against BAEZLN in Ocosingo

Mexico City | Desinformémonos. Residents of the autonomous region of Moisés y Gandhi, Chiapas, reported a new armed attack against the Support Bases of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (BAEZLN) by the Regional Organization of Coffee Growers of Ocosingo (ORCOA) on Sunday night.

The shooting with high-caliber weapons began around 8 p.m. on February 11th, when members of ORCAO from the town of 7 de Febrero attacked Zapatista territory. Until 11 p.m., no injuries were reported, but the shooting continued.

This is a new attack by ORCAO against the BAEZLN of Moisés y Gandhi, which on January 19th recorded the forced displacement of 28 Zapatistas, including ten girls and boys, from the La Resistencia community due to the violence of the paramilitary group in the region.

“The ORCAO attacks against the EZLN have been a constant in the Moisés y Gandhi area, which has caused a continuity of serious violations of human rights in the region such as forced displacement, torture, forced disappearance and attempted homicides”, the National Network of Civil Human Rights Organizations “All Rights for All” (TDT Network) emphasized in the statement on the displacements in January of this year.

The forced displacement on January 19th was the result of around 40 members of ORCAO arriving with firearms, machetes and sticks to La Resistencia two days before, where they destroyed the Autonomous Primary School and 15 houses made of tin and wood, and burned books of the education promoters, robbed a store, destroyed nearby crops and scattered stored food such as corn, beans, coffee and sugar.

The organizations that make up the Network denounced “the permissiveness and complicity of the Mexican State” given the violence against the autonomous territories and stressed the urgency for the federal and Chiapas governments to carry out an “immediate and diligent” investigation that leads to ending “this climate of violence.”

Stop the Attacks on the Zapatista Community “La Resistencia”!

February 7, 2024

Jobel, Chiapas.

To the National Indigenous Congress

To the national and international Sixth

To the Networks of Resistance and Rebellions

To those of us who subscribe to the Declaration for Life

To good-hearted people

A few days ago we learned, like many of you, of the attack carried out on our comrades Zapatista support bases of the GAL La Resistencia, belonging to the Moisés y Gandhi Autonomous Region, Caracol 10 [1], by the paramilitary group Organización Regional de Cafeticultores de Ocosingo (ORCAO). We know well that this is not the first time that this criminal organization attacks our comrades and that it is a strategy that comes from above, that it is part of the integral war of attrition to try to stop the autonomy and organization of our comrades. Accumulation by dispossession is based on violence and death. But we know, as you do, that in these times of greed and power, those who organize themselves by and from autonomy and the common go for something greater: life. While up there they fight for the crumbs of the product of false democracy, called elections, below the root of a life that will shelter generations, communities and peoples is fertilized and cared for; from the destruction left by those at the top, landscapes of life are rebuilt with dignity and courage.

In the face of these attacks we want to express our indignation and dignified rage. From our collective heart we firmly say that our Zapatista comrades are not alone, that if they touch one they touch us all. We call on la Sexta and all our solidarity comrades to join this indignation and the call for an immediate cessation of the attacks on our Zapatista comrades.

Stop the war against the Zapatista peoples!

Stop the comprehensive war of attrition!
